‘Nobody Speak’ hits the streamer on June 23.
The first trailer for the Netflix doc Nobody Speak: Hulk Hogan, Gawker and Trials of a Free Press looks at the troubles of modern media through the lens of the Hulk Hogan-Gawker trial.
Acquired by the streamer out of Sundance, the Brian Knappenberger-directed feature documents the lawsuit that was prompted by Gawker publishing a sex tape that saw former WWE star Hulk Hogan using racial slurs. It ended with Hogan winning the $100 million trial, and Gawker proper shutting down while its ancillary sites were sold off to Univision.
The trailer sees images and video from the trial and its fallout intercut with Donald Trump vilifying the media during his presidential campaign and image of reporters being dragged from press briefings.
