Patek Philippe’s the Art of Watches Exhibition Is Every Watch Lover’s Must-See

Calling all watch enthusiasts: Here’s your chance to see historical luxury timepieces up close and personal.

Starting today, Patek Philippe is presenting The Art of Watches Grand Exhibition New York 2017—an 11-day public exhibition that gives visitors an intimate look into the inner workings of the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s timepieces and the brand’s 178-year history. Needless to say, if you’re into fancy watches with storied histories, this is the place to be.

The exhibition is taking place from July 13 through 23 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City, where the Italian Renaissance is laid on thick what with its towering marble columns and grand chandeliers. What you’ll expect at the exhibition is a two-story structure built inside Cipriani (a first for the luxury space) and 10 unique rooms in which visitors can explore and subsequently do a deep dive into the world of Patek Philippe. That plus a historical film screening and an incredible showcase of historical timepieces spanning the last five centuries, including, yes, the first watches ever made.

Jasmina Steele, the international communication and public relations director of Patek Philippe says, “By offering visitors an immersion inside the world of Patek Philippe, we really want to share our passion for watchmaking and hope visitors will come out of the exhibition with a greater knowledge and appreciation of the art of watches.”
